The principles of international law were first codified in the Treaty of Westphalia in 1648 and progressively refined into the body of international law we have today. But the two pillars on which the Westphalian State system rested were the sovereignty of States and the non-interference in the internal affairs of other States. Peace was maintained through deterrence and war was only justified when it was waged in defence of one’s people, territory or vital interests. Grotius, the father of international law, was absolutely convinced that the only just war was a war fought in self defence. The danger, moreover, had to be immediate and the force used to repel it had to be proportionate to the threat.
Hmmmm,. if you ask me,.. Jupiter's a 'she', the Greeks Romans made her into a man because frankly they could not handle the reality that one of the most benevolent deities was a female,.
Jupiter governs expansion and multiplication,. Venus is women pre pregnancy,. Jupiter is women post pregnancy,.
I think it was Chiron the Centaur that led my thinking in this direction,. Greatest healers? Always women, Virgo, the witches burnt at the stake for simply knowing the roots to pregnancy and in the centuries long 'commodification of the womb' they had to be vanquished and thus Chiron became a man guy and Jupiter the primary Centaur/Horse then masculine too,.
Yet wars and horses are synonymous!?.. Kind of like how civilisation fights/Mars for women/Venus/material comfort,.. So Venus does not govern War, but sure as heck when she wants it or demands it, when your comfort index desires an upgrade,. very easy to kick ol young brother into gear,.
